November 21, 2025 – What an incredible turnout!  Volunteers showed up in full force, rolled up their sleeves, and got to work serving our community.

Under the leadership of Post member Jerry Lee, the “Costco Chicken Brigade” was out in action.     Joined by Post members, Friends of Jerry Lee, Cordell Lui, “Downtown Freddie Brown”, MG2, and many more community partners.

Cathay Post members served hot tea and congee.   The chicken congee was generously donated by Tai Tung Restaurant.

We initially planned for 450 Costco Rotisserie Chickens and 450 Zhongzi, but the need was even greater — another 100 frozen chickens were pulled from storage to meet the demand.

It was an honor to support and serve our Chinatown-International District community.  Huge thanks to the Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) Food Bank for being such a vital resource.

We have much to be thankful for.
